Radio 92.9 EarthFest! May 18, 2013

It's that time of year again!  The fine folks at Radio 92.9 are hosting their annual EarthFest, presented by Whole Foods!

If you have never been to EarthFest, here's a quick rundown of what's goin' on:

Vertical Horizon, Cracker, Fastball, Gentlemen Hall, Camper Van Beethoven, and a local band yet to be determined will make your ears happy all afternoon.

There are all sorts of sponsors and free stuff to check out during the day!  Yep, you read that correctly.  Free.  Kinda goes along with the free concert!  Who doesn't like something that's free?  I guess that baby in the Jimmy Fallon credit card commercial... but check out some of these awesome sponsors!

Since it's EarthFest, we're trying to be kind to Mother Earth!  If you can... 

Go HERE for all things EarthFest.  Can't wait to see you there!  Who are YOU excited to see?  I am most excited for Vertical Horizon -  I've been a big fan since '98-'99.  Also, Gentlemen Hall is from the area, and I am looking forward to seeing them for the first time!

In Concert: Radio 92.9 EarthFest 2012

What a day!  EarthFest 2012 could NOT have asked for a more beautiful day at the Hatch Memorial Shell today.  I'm going to share a quick look at my view of today, but want to say a BIG thank you to Radio 92.9 for hosting these great bands (nice AND talented musicians - always a nice combo!) and for having me backstage to take part in the magic.

• Third Eye Blind - Motorcycle Driveby - friends in college had a guitar duo and played this song in the stairwells of the dorms...
• Eve 6 - Promise Ah, high school memories... 
• Switchfoot - Dare You To Move - This was used in A Walk To Remember, one of the fabulous chick flicks of the early 2000s that I don't mind admitting to watching ;-)

and, unrelated, but I was diggin' it:

• John Butler Trio - I'd Do Anything - I heard this in the car on the way to work today, and have been loving anything the JBT does.
